The PURE 10 is not a new product, but rather a proven model that can be relied on. The ski brake is manually fixed or released by means of a push button, three different climbing aids ensure a comfortable ascent. The optimal binding for advanced touring skiers.

How to determine the setting value for your pin binding

HAGAN pin bindings are designed with different ranges of setting values, such as 5-12, 3-8 or fixed setting values as in racing bindings. This ensures maximum safety and helps to ensure that the bindings release at the right moment.
When selecting, care should be taken to ensure that the desired setting value is as central as possible of the values available for selection. For example, with a setting value of 5, a binding with a range of setting values from 3-8 should ideally be selected.

When buying a ski set, it is absolutely necessary to have the binding setting checked by a specialist dealer. However, so that you can already choose the binding with the right range of release values when buying, we want to give you a brief guide here on how to calculate your approximate setting value.

Determine your setting value for the pin binding

  • Determine your ski boot sole length (in mm) and your weight. The intersection of weight and sole length = setting value.
  • Consider your skiing ability:
  • Beginner = Setting value
  • Advanced = Setting value and 1 line down
  • Experienced = Setting value and 2 lines down
  • Consider your age:
    If you are under 10 years or over 50 years = set value and 1 row up
